ever believing
Evergreen Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA) denomination, the oldest and largest Presbyterian group in the USA. We trace our roots back to the Protestant Reformation while branching out into the future. We think freely, love abundantly, act faithfully, and serve richly.
Presbyterians are all about being connected — to each other and most especially to God. We believe that everybody is a child of God, even when we mess up. Everybody counts. Nobody’s perfect. Believing this is what connects us in the spirit of forgiving and faithful love. We believe God calls us to witness to the truth that everyone is part of God’s never-ending hope for all creation.
As part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), our beliefs are guided primarily by Scripture and secondarily by our Book of Confessions. The Brief Statement of Faith, one of the official confessions of faith of the Presbyterian Church (USA), offers a helpful orientation to what we believe. You can learn more about what Presbyterians believe about a variety of topics here.
