We're the hands and feet of Christ building up everyone in our church and across our city. We build community by being good neighbors: celebrating joys, welcoming the stranger, caring for the sick, visiting the lonely, feeding the hungry, and bringing the good news of the gospel to the world.

Caring for each Other

 

Congregational Care 
The Congregational Care Team attends to members and their families by providing
meals, visits, texts, and phone calls. Whether it is a sadness due to death, injury, a
change in family or work life, an illness that leads to prolonged treatments or recovery,
or reaching out to shut-ins, this Ministry team is working to support our Evergreen family
and knit together our hearts in Christian love. We welcome visitors to Evergreen and
encourage them to visit again and learn more about our church. Prayer is an essential
part of our spiritual life and we have a prayer team that is always ready to ask God for
help and strength when we become aware of a specific need. Please contact the

words of encouragement.

Congregational Fellowship

The Fellowship Ministry team seeks to create opportunities for fellowship and connectedness among our church family. We coordinate monthly church-wide, after-service lunches on the First Sunday of the month. Be it a celebration of a birth or marriage or a church-wide gathering that helps us learn more about each other, this Ministry team works to bring us together to celebrate each other and Christian love.

Connected across South Alabama

Evergreen is proud of our connection to the other PCUSA churches of South Alabama Presbytery. We give abundantly of our time and offerings to our shared, connectional body to support churches and ministries of sister congregations.
